Botanics revisited: Am I still a fan?

I have to say, the one topic I'm always slightly reticent to talk about is skincare, as I really appreciate that a product which renews one person's complexion could potential ruin another's! Trust me, I've spent enough time (and enough money) on products other people have recommended, and often had less than desirable results. However, considering that I was so impressed with their hydration day cream, I decided to trial a few more of the Botanics products in order to see whether they would stand up to my last rave review. All of these products are currently on offer, and you can save anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 off. I've listed the current sale prices for each product below.
With this in mind, a few weeks ago I headed to Boots and picked up a little mixture of skincare. After looking online, Botanics seems to have six lines of products (Organic, All Bright, Radiant Youth, Triple Age Renew, Shine Away and Ultra Calm) and overall I have tried a few bits and bobs from three of these six ranges. In fact, I only recently realised that their Ultra Calm range is targeted for sensitive skin, but in any case I thought it'd be interesting to see how a skincare routine of only Botanics items would work for me. I've been trialling these 4 products by themselves for at least a fortnight now, and here's my thoughts:
Product 1: Hydration Burst Hydrating Day Cream (See previous review for full details) £5.33
This is just a quick little update to say that I'm still impressed, and it's working well in the mornings before I put on makeup. I also don't feel like I need to use a primer as much because the consistency doesn't leave my face feeling greasy at all as some moisturisers often do.

Product 2: Hydration Burst Dual Action Cleanser £3.99
I have to admit that when it comes to cleansers I can be a bit picky, as my favourites are generally balms (Clinque and The Body Shop being my favourites.) In all honesty, I thought that this one might strip my skin of moisture, considering that it is a gel. I was wrong! Although it is rather viscous, and does take a little while longer to massage in than a regular balm, I can't deny that for the price it removes dirt and makeup really effectively. It has the same Clary Sage scent of the moisturiser which I enjoy, and it also doesn't have mineral oil which I believe is a good thing (I'm not exactly Caroline Hirons so my ingredient knowledge is limited haha.) Whilst I will keep using my balms for those times when I feel my skin needs a bit more attention, this is an ideal day to day cleanser for those like myself who are on a student budget or want to save their money.

Product 3: All Bright Hydrating Night Cream £2.49
I would say that this is my least favourite product out of everything I purchased, purely because it didn't offer the level of hydration I was looking for. The texture is very similar to the day cream, but it really didn't sink into my skin enough and left a slightly tacky film behind. Also, I don't think that it brightened my skin at all. It didn't cause a reaction so technically I could continue using it, but I won't be repurchasing this one. It's such a struggle to find good night creams for sensitive skin!

Product 4: Rosewater Toning Spritz 100% organic £3.99
Let me just preface this by saying that I never tone, it's just one of those things that have seemed like an extra (unnecessary) step for me. However, this does actually feel like it's doing something, and the mist comes out quite finely when you spray it so you're able to rebalance the skin really quickly. I love that you don't have to waste a lot of product on cotton pads, and the mild scent of roses completely won me over. This is definitely becoming a staple part of my evening routine, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a gentle toner.

Overall, my experience with Botanics has been great. I think it's fantastic that organic and sensitive skin friendly products are available in such a reasonable price range. I appreciate that the packaging is simple yet feminine, and works in sync with the stripped back nature of the products themselves. I look forward to trying even more bits from the Ultra Calm and Organic ranges. Put simply, I'm still a fan!

Hello! I have tried Boots Botanics products before, I have the All Bright Hydrating Night Cream, a Toner and a Cleanser. I agree with you on the Night Cream, doesn't give enough moisture or brightening affects as it suggests! I like the Toner though and the makeup remover is quite nice.
