Guerlain Mon Guerlain: The Perfect Summer Fragrance

Hi lovelies!

I'm back this week with a quick review, as this new eau de parfum by Guerlain is going to be my signature scent as we head into the (hopefully) warmer months. I discovered this perfume only a couple of days ago with my Mum. She sprayed it on her wrists whilst out shopping, and when she got home a good few hours later I couldn't stop commenting on how gorgeous she was smelling.  I kept going back to smell her throughout the day, and decided that I should go out and try it on myself, as fragrances can react differently to our individual body heat. Luckily it smelled lovely on me as well, and as I had a little bit saved up I was able to treat myself to the 50 ml bottle.

This fragrance was released by Guerlain just over a month ago, and I would describe it as a sweet but warm floral. I'm not a fan of overly powdery or heady floral scents, which is definitely not the case for this perfume. There are strong notes of vanilla and lavender on me, which combine to make a scent which is strong enough to wear both in the daytime and equally into the evening. I've only worn it once, but the longevity seems to be good. I applied it for the first time today, and six hours later the smell is still detectable on my wrists. (Top tip- when you're spraying perfume remember to keep to pulse points such as wrists, behind the ears and the neck to make the most of its longevity.)
The 'Guerlain' embossed glass bottle is another selling point for the fragrance; ultra feminine but classy, and compact enough to be carried around in your handbag if you like to take your perfume to work with you.

A new perfume is always an exciting (not to mention expensive) purchase, and makes me feel put together when I'm getting ready to go out. The next time you're near a perfume counter give this a spray, especially if you are looking for a womanly take on the traditional floral scent. It's so beautiful!
