Spring Favourites!

Hi lovelies!

Apologies for the sporadic posts, Uni work has been full on to say the least! I have a few deadlines coming up in the next few weeks, so things might be a little bit quieter than normal, but this time next month I'll be able to post a lot more regularly, hurrah!

Also, I saw last night that the lovely Molly from molchic very kindly nominated me for a Liebster award, so keep your eyes peeled over the next few days for my follow up post on that.

Okay, so today is all about my top springtime picks. The weather has been gorgeous in the UK over the last few days, and whenever the climate changes I have a little update with my makeup bag. These products are my absolute favourite for this time of year, as they allow me to achieve a really put together and flawless look, but using fewer products than I would typically in the colder months.

Here we go!

FACE: Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief and The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

There are no words to express how much I love this moisturiser. As you guys are probably well aware by now, I have sensitive skin, and this works perfectly for me. I tend to apply it with a clean beauty blender, to prevent using my fingers and spreading unnecessary bacteria. This sponge is a long time HG product of mine, and is definitely comparable to the original beauty blender (which I have also tried).

COMPLEXION: Nars Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc and Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly

Two more Holy Grail bits here, purely because I love the coverage the foundation offers without getting cakey, and the concealer works really well for a bit of highlighting. Once again, I apply both with my trusted sponge, and I'm ready to go!

EYES: Benefit Rollerlash, Maybelline Master Ink Matte Liner, and Urban Decay Eyeshadow in 'Tonic'

This has been my go-to eye look recently, as the shadow is super feminine and has that perfect purplish/pinkish undertone for spring. I usually apply an eye primer first, and then just dust this over the centre of my lids and maybe add a taupe brown transition shade if I want a bit more depth. This liner is also one of the best I've ever tried; it's completely matte, and the applicator makes it really easy to apply (I'm a bit rubbish with gel eyeliner). Also, I finally gave into the hype and purchased the Roller Lash mascara, and as much as it pains me (and my purse) to say it, it's amazing if you're able to splash out on it. I only have the miniature at the moment, but I will at some point in the future buy the full size.

LIPS: Mac Lipstick in 'Faux' and NYX Butter Gloss in 'Eclair'

My tried and true Faux was bound to make this list, as it's my favourite lipstick of all time, yep I said it, of all time. It's a satin, and the shade is the most flattering pink/mauve on my fair complexion. Definitely one of those universal shades every woman should try out, because it can be worn day or night and suits any makeup look. I also had to include this butter gloss from NYX. A new store opened up in my home town a few weeks ago, so obviously I headed over and trawled through the entire stand. I've got a few other bits that I'll review in the next few weeks, but I was particularly impressed by the comfortable formula of this gloss, and the shade is super pretty.

LASHES: Fleur de Force for Eylure 3/4 lashes

I've been watching Fleur on YouTube for years, and I have to say that she absolutely nailed it with these eyelashes. I think that there were a few different styles that came out with this collection, but these are by far the best for me. As they're 3/4, the subtlety is amazing, but they also give you a fluttery and open-eyed look that would be appropriate for daytime use. Perfect for those like myself of you who want to go for the semi natural look, haha :)

SCENTS: Jo Malone 'Orange Blossom' Cologne and Heaven Scent Natural Candle in 'Bluebell'

When it comes to scents, at springtime there's only one way to go; floral! To be honest, I prefer floral scents all year round, but these two products take my breath away. I received this Jo Malone fragrance in Orange Blossom for my Christmas, and it's always in my handbag for a quick spritz. If you enjoy citrus type scents with some sweetness, give this a go. I've also recently found my all time favourite candle right here; it is the most gorgeous bluebell scent, it's paraffin free and also made from natural plant wax (according to their website). I've been hearing some slightly worrying news about the risks of over using candles, so it's reassuring to find a brand that is conscious of using all natural ingredients.

That's all of my spring favourites! What products have impressed you guys recently? Let me know in the comments!
